A few things about us
Invent Circle offers a comprehensive suite of services aimed at fostering STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) skills among youth aged 9 and above:

THE WHY
It is a well-known fact that we live an increasing complex digital age, and for this reason there is a push in the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics to advance technology and digital skills.
However, while there is a significant number of programmes and organisations providing programming and coding skills as way for young people to experience ‘tech’, there are not as many in the area of 3D technology skills such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), Graphic Design, Photogrammetry, Animation, Virtual Reality and 3D printing.
Most recently, the Institution of Engineering of Technology released the Engineering Kids’ Future report which highlighted among other key messages the;
1. Decline of Design and Technology as a subject in schools
2. Lack of engineering content in primary education.
3. Poorer performance of UK learners when compared to their international counterparts
4. STEM skills shortage in the UK

THE BENEFIT
Early exposure to STEAM skills has multifaceted benefits for the young learner and ultimately the UK and Global economy. It is widely acknowledged that advancing STEM will facilitate “a high-skill, high-wage economy, levelling-up, facilitating a green industrial revolution, and reinforcing the UK’s position as a science and technology superpower”. However, creativity and artistic expression is also an essential aspect of development for young learners.
For the young learner, acquiring fun and exciting 3D technology skills will;
1. Develop and encourage enthusiasm and curiosity about the interaction of things around them
2. Provide them a new digital skill and inculcate design thinking
3. Enhance problem solving skills
4. Incubate an interest in STEAM and improve the probability of selection of a STEAM related subject

THE HOW
Our aim is to provide free programmes (Our Da Vinci Programme) providing 3D technology skills to young people as early as age 5 and up to post-16 young people looking to fill advanced digital skills gaps. The breadth of programmes will range from Concept Generation, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Graphic Design, Photogrammetry, Animation, Virtual Reality, 3D printing amongst others.
Our pilot programmes will focus on ideation and concept generation, 3D modelling and culminate in the 3D print and build of designs for Years 5-7, ensuring that underrepresented groups in STEAM (such as girls, people from low socioeconomic backgrounds) make up at least 50% of each cohort.
